From Train Stops to Postage Stamps -The Glyndon Train Station

You probably know it as the Glyndon Post Office. But long before letters and packages were the main traffic through its doors, this little building was part of a much bigger story.

In the newest episode of Betcha Didn’t Know?!, Stacey Abbott of Corner House Realty and Reisterstown Main Street head just up the road to Glyndon for a behind-the-scenes history lesson at one of the area's most recognizable landmarks... the Glyndon Train Station, now home to the Glyndon Post Office.

Local historian Ann O'Neill and Charlie Wells take us inside and back in time, sharing the story of the railroad, the station, and the important role both played in shaping Glyndon and the surrounding community.

Today, the historic station has a very different job- serving the community as the Glyndon Post Office. But if you know where to look, the building still holds clues to its railroad past.

Watch as we get a closer look inside, hear some of the stories that don't always make it into the history books, and discover just how much history is hiding inside a building many of us have driven past hundreds of times.
