New Investment Helps Secure Future of 234 Main Street
Main Street Announcement
There are moments in a community’s story when something important happens that helps shape the future. This week is one of those moments for Reisterstown Main Street.
Thanks to the leadership of the District 10 delegation, Maryland State Bond Initiative funding has been secured to support the acquisition of the historic building at 234 Main Street.
For many residents and visitors, this building has already become a familiar place. It is home to the Reisterstown Welcome Center & Historic Museum, and Studios at 234 creative entrepreneurship workspace.
The building has evolved into a place where people come together to explore the history of Reisterstown, meet local artists and volunteers and connect with the businesses and organizations that make Main Street special.
Securing this building helps ensure that these programs can continue to grow while preserving one of the historic structures that define the character of Main Street.
The funding was introduced by Senator Ben Brooks and supported by Delegates Jennifer White Holland and N. Scott Phillips, and we are deeply grateful for their leadership and support in helping make this investment possible and provide an opportunity to establish a permanent home for these programs, ensuring that we can continue to serve the community for years to come.
As this next chapter unfolds, we look forward to continuing to build a space where creativity grows, stories are shared, and new opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs can take root on Main Street.
We’ll be sharing more updates as the project moves forward.
