DeBaugh Dance Company offers all-inclusive dance instruction for children starting at two years old through adults. We have over 30 technique classes per week including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop, personalized wedding choreography lessons, and dance-themed birthday parties. DeBaugh Dance Company targets the local Baltimore County and Carroll County families who are looking for a well-rounded dance instructional experience in a supportive and creative environment. Our studio philosophy is that everyone can learn to dance! We strive to create an inclusive, holistic, and positive experience that will keep us rooted and thriving in the community for generations to come.

Classically trained in the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society Teachers of Dance syllabuses, Maia studied Modern dance, Choreography, and Kinesiology at Ohio University. Performance highlights include performing as a soloist with the Moscow Ballet in the Nutcracker and studying with the Bolshoi Ballet. As the founding dance instructor at Merritt Dance Academy, she started an inclusive dance program that grew for 20 years as a foundation for dance education in the Carroll County community.
Over the years, she implemented a dance-related fundraising program in a Baltimore County elementary school, choreographed and performed with local community theater groups, and sits as Treasurer on the board of the Maryland Dance Education Association, a state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization. She has twin daughters, Lucy and Cecelia, who followed in her dancing footsteps, and her husband, Chris, who has two left feet.
