In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, join the Maryland Horse Library & Education Center for a special screening of Dakota 38, an award-winning documentary following a 330-mile horseback journey undertaken in 2009 to honor the 38 Dakota men executed in Mankato, Minnesota, on December 26, 1862.
Through remembrance, healing, and reconciliation, the film explores a difficult chapter of American history and the power of bringing communities together.
This screening is part of Indigenous Perspectives, a November initiative of Reisterstown Main Street celebrating Indigenous history, culture, and art.
