Finding Balance with Janet Griffin of A Path For Change
Our latest episode of Betcha Didn’t Know?! brought Stacey Abbott with Corner House Realty and Reisterstown Main Street inside a peaceful corner of Main Street—the Purple Barn at 317 Main Street—where we met up with Janet Griffin of A Path For Change to talk about healing, energy work, and the many ways people can reconnect with themselves.
Janet has been helping people on their personal healing journeys for more than 30 years, guiding individuals through practices that focus on emotional, spiritual, and energetic balance. During the conversation, Janet shared how her work blends intuition, teaching, and hands-on energy practices.

One of the methods she uses is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as “tapping.” This technique helps people identify and release emotional patterns that may be holding them back, creating space for clarity and personal growth.
But healing isn’t always serious business. Janet also talked about the joy and creativity that comes with exploring the world of crystals, sound, and meditation. At the Purple Barn, she offers classes and workshops where participants can experience singing bowls, learn about crystals, and discover tools for personal reflection and relaxation.
The soothing sound of singing bowls, Janet explained, is often used in meditation and sound healing to help calm the mind and create a sense of balance. Crystals (another favorite topic) can also be used as symbolic tools to focus intention, mindfulness, and personal growth.
The Purple Barn has become a welcoming gathering space for these experiences, offering opportunities for the community to slow down, learn something new, and explore different approaches to wellness.
If you’re curious about energy work, interested in meditation, or simply looking to try something different, Janet’s classes are a wonderful place to begin.
