Connecting Students With Community

The Junior Main Street program invites high school students to become part of the team shaping the future of Reisterstown’s historic Main Street. Students gain hands on experience with events, local business support, creative projects, and community storytelling while learning how Main Street grows and stays connected.

Throughout the program, students build relationships, complete a collaborative project, support Main Street events, and gain real-world experience in leadership, media, and creative problem solving. It’s a chance to explore their voice, share their stories, and help shape the community they call home.

What Students Gain

Over the course of the program, Junior Main Street participants will:

  • Build relationships with local businesses and partners
  • Support Main Street events and behind-the-scenes operations
  • Work collaboratively on a signature project monthly
  • Develop skills in communication, teamwork, media, and creative problem solving
  • Strengthen their connection to Reisterstown’s past, present, and future

If you’re ready to explore your creativity, share your story, and help shape the future of Main Street… Junior Main Street is ready for you!
