Description

The Community Crisis Center’s “Bottoms Up” program is participating in National Period Poverty Awareness Week, raising awareness and collecting menstrual hygiene supplies for community members in need.

📅 May 11–17, 2026

Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual products and proper hygiene facilities. Many low-income women and girls miss school or work due to lack of supplies, and prolonged use of products can increase health risks.

Community members are invited to help by donating new or open packages of menstrual products, including liners, pads, and tampons.
