History

Founded in 1973

The Reisterstown-Owings Mills-Glyndon Coordinating Council (ROG) was established in 1973 as a clearinghouse and a coordinating agency for the promotion and advancement of the civic, religious, economic, educational, cultural, and social interests of the ROG communities. For more than fifty years, ROG has been at the forefront of many vital issues affecting our community such as the Northwest Expressway (795), the development of the Owings Mills Master Plan, the Revitalization Plan for Reisterstown’s Main Street, revisions to the comprehensive zoning maps and improvements to our education and transportation system. ROG can take satisfaction in its many accomplishments over the years. With the tremendous growth now taking place in the greater Owings Mills area, as well as the entire ROG community, we believe ROG is needed now more than ever. In the coming year, we intend to continue our leadership role in confronting issues that may arise.
