Homemade custard and Italian ice! We offer 60 delicious flavors of Italian ice and 10 flavors of tasty custard daily at each of our stores. Our unique products are made from quality ingredients using our own hand-crafted recipes.
The Cow is one of the largest purveyors of Italian ice and frozen custard in Maryland.
In 2005, we officially changed our name to The Cow and completed a renovation and expansion.
We opened our first store in the summer of 2000 in Reisterstown, Maryland on a shoestring budget but with big ideas. We were known as Dairy Fresh and offered a large and innovative selection of Italian ices with ice cream that was soft and creamy and tasted as rich as whipped cream. Our customers nicknamed us "The Cow," in recognition of our large fiberglass cow that welcomes them.
We opened a second store in Westminster, Maryland, in 2010, and added the Moo Mobile in 2013 to bring The Cow to fairs, festivals, community events and special celebrations.

We have been around so long that the kids we were serving when we first opened are now bringing their kids and grandkids to the store.
At The Cow, we strive to offer new and creative products, provide friendly and efficient service and maintain family-friendly pricing. We look forward to seeing our long-time customers and serving new customers at both of our locations from spring through late December.
