A program with deep vision helps Reisterstown's blind and visually impaired. These "knights of the blind" focus on programs and projects that help us cope with these disabilities- or aim to eliminate preventable and reversible blindness. The Lions also support local and national efforts to control and prevent diabetes and diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of vision loss in adults of working age in industrialized countries. They also lend an ear to programs dealing with hearing loss, arranging screenings, recreational camps and hearing aid recycling programs for children and adults.
