Memberships

Membership in the Reisterstown Improvement Association is open to all individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses who wish to support RIA's efforts to improve the lives of all who live, work, shop or dine in our historic town.

  • For Individuals - those living outside of the Reisterstown/Glyndon area are welcome to join and to support the mission of our organization.
  • For Non-Profit Organizations - community, civic, church and charitable organizations are welcome to join and, as members, may submit their Reisterstown-area events for promotion on Reisterstown.com and through the RIA's weekly mailings. Reisterstown.com also promotes non-profit organizations located in the area in its Community Resources directory.
  • For Businesses - merchants, restaurants, shops and service-based businesses who serve the Reisterstown community are welcome to join. Those that are located in this area may also promote their shops and services on Reisterstown.com's restaurant directory, services directory, and shops directory.

You must purchase a Business Membership for each business you wish to promote on Reisterstown.com. If you buy an individual membership, your individual listing may appear in our residential directory, but you may not promote products or services there.

Main Street Banners

RIA shall display banners over a two-year period commencing in the Fall of 2017. We cannot, however, guarantee a particular placement along Main Street. By paying to sponsor a banner, you agree that all materials used become the property of RIA. RIA takes no responsibility for spelling or other clerical errors that you may make in completing the order form.  Nor can RIA provide you with a proof or other facsimile of your banner prior to production. So it is very important that you complete the form with care. In the event that RIA is able to accommodate orders made after the established deadline, the duration of banner display shall not be extended and all banners are scheduled for replacement when the two-year period expires in the Fall of 2019.

Donations

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions to RIA are generally tax-deductible. However, the RIA does not provide tax advice on IRS rules pertaining to such donations. Donors with tax-related questions should consult their tax advisers.
