In the heart of Reisterstown lies a diamond in the rough, and RIA's Woodland Trails volunteers are reclaiming what will soon be a beautiful park and outdoor amenity for our entire community.
Trailblazing a path that has been neglected for far too long, we envision the Franklin Woodland Trails as a popular destination for family picnics and recreation, letting our children enjoy the great outdoors, a small creek and quaint bridges that help all of us get back to nature.
Only steps away from Main Street, this network of nature trails can transport us into a whole new world. So join us at the footbridge between the Reisterstown Library and Reisterstown United Methodist Church as we meet on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 a.m. to blaze a trail for all to enjoy.
Northwest Recycling true to their promise donated 20 yards of mulch with a promise to bring more when this pile is moved onto the trail. The volunteers on Saturday June 8th did their best by covering from the trail head by the bridge to the end of both forks as it reached the stream. Thanks to everyone.
A special clean up day was held Saturday, April 14th. A dumpster from Northwest Recycling ready to fill with wood debris was provide and the challenge was on ... can we fill it?? Volunteers tried very hard to meet that challenge.
